This is most evident in the iconic unique mother figures from the late 1950s and early 1960s. The influence can also be noticed in the ”ABC Girls” series (1958) depicting reading, curvaceous women in 1950s typical dresses. The rounded forms contrasted strongly with the skinny body ideal of beauty of thes decade.
