Triller Tobo

Ingrid Triller (1905-1982) at the throwing wheel in the 1950s. Ingrid and her husband Erich (1898-1972) were husband-and-wife ceramists specializing in elegant, perfect and clean stoneware. They established a studio in Tobo, Sweden, which they operated for thirty-seven years. The Trillers were strongly influenced by the Bauhaus movement’s approach to ceramics, characterized by an eye for detail and attention to the work process. They were remarkably successful, turning precise forms with consistently exquisite glazes.
