Berndt Friberg (1899-1981) throwing a bowl in the 1960s. The Gustavsberg master potter was a perfectionist with an eye for delicate, sensuous forms and magnificent glazes. His works ranged in size, from no higher than a few centimeters bowls to large floor vases. The contours were often reminiscent of classic styles, including Chinese stoneware from the Song Dynasty.
